MIRI: A farewell dinner for Miri Resident Antonio Kahti Galis was held at a hotel here on Wednesday.
Organised by Miri Resident and District Office, it was attended by 200 guests.
Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau was the guest-of-honour.
“ Antonio Kahti Galis is a man with total commitment, and go into detail to his work or what need to be done of the job.
“His latest appointment holding one key function in the state administration is proof of his capabality,” said Dennis at the dinner.
Antonio who also spoke thanked all the staff of Resident and District office Miri division including those of Marudi, Telang Usan, Bakong, Subis, who have been very cooperative with him to enable him to perform his duty since assuming the duty as Miri Resident since 2010.
He mentioned that the many state and federal level events held in Miri City over the years were done very successfully, all because of the support, commitments and most importantly team effort from everyone connected with Miri Resident Office.
Also present at the farewell dinner were Miri Deputy Resident Nyurak Keti and Miri District Officer Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf.
