KUCHING: The fifth Borneo International Beads Conference (BIBCo) was launched at Lobby Foyer of Plaza Merdeka here yesterday.
Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sports and Youth, Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah officiated at the launching ceremony. 24 bead artisans are showcasing their creations at the Beads Abuzz Artisan Exhibition and Sales at Lobby Foyer of Plaza Merdeka here from yesterday to October 15.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Director of BIBCo Heidi Munan who has changed the perspective of beads here in Sarawak,” said Abdul Karim.
“I hope the participants will share their knowledge with those who are unable to make it to the conference for various reasons,” he said.
