Filipina masseur robbed, two suspects nabbed

MIRI: Two men were arrested by police in less than 24 hours after they robbed a Filipina masseur at a bank in Jalan Bendahara here early Monday morning.

The suspects aged 24 and 34 had robbed the 30-year-old Filipina masseur of RM500 and her mobile phone around midnight on Monday.

Miri District Deputy Police chief, Superintendent Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said based on investigation and public information, the suspects were arrested at two locations.

“The first suspect was nabbed in a house at Kampung Lereng Bukit at 3am while the second suspect was arrested in Piasau Jaya an hour later.

“Police also seized a motorcycle and two helmets which are believed to have been used by the suspects during the robbery,” Stanley said.

He added that the two suspects who are jobless are being detained for further investigation.
