SRI AMAN: A team of firefighters from Sri Aman fire station was called to remove a ring stuck on an elderly man’s ring finger last Friday afternoon.
According to Sri Aman fire station operations commander, Senior Fire Officer II Jilin Itar, the 82-year-old victim, Baba Naring, from Rh Sebeliau Atas, was admitted to the emergency ward of Sri Aman Hospital after he was involved in an accident in Lubok Antu that day.
Upon arrival at the hospital at 2.10pm, the firefighters took about 17 minutes to cut from the elderly man’s left ring finger using their tools.
The operation ended at 2.38pm.
