KUCHING: Five persons including three with previous drug cases were arrested for peddling and consumption of drugs. The heaviest offence was under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries a maximum of life imprisonment.
Four men and a female aged between 26 and 52 were arrsted with several drugs found on them on Thursday at about 1 pm at an unnumbered house in Engkilili. Found in their possession were several boxes of transparent plastic packages containing syabu weighing 26 grams and Erimin 5 pills weighing 1.70 grams. They were all detained for questioning.
