Former MACC officer lodges report against Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: A former senior officer of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday lodged a report with the MACC on several allegations linked to former Prime Minister. Datuk  Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Datuk Abdul Razak Idris, former MACC Director of Intelligence and Investigations, said the report was on what was suspected to be actions obstructing investigations into cases linked to the Retirement Fund (KWAP) and 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

He said he had asked the MACC to investigate Najib for having allegedly used his power to prevent investigation of the cases and also for the former prime minister to declare his assets.

Abdul Razak told reporters he made the report under Section 23 and Section 36 of the MACC Act.- Bernama
