LIMBANG: Limbang District police personnel raided a business premises at small border town Tedungan on last Wednesday evening. In the 7.50pm raid, police nabbed two sisters aged 30 and 31 as well as two men aged 32 and 21 who were suspected of illegally gambling online using their iPhones.

“We also seized cash amounting to RM180 and B$135 (Malaysian ringgit and Brunei dollars respectively); five units of iPhones and sim cards, one black handbag,” said Limbang police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai yesterday.

He said all the suspects are being remanded for three days starting yesterday till Sunday. The case will be investigated under Section 4A of the Open Gaming House Act 1953. Mohd Bukhori also pointed out the police will continue to go all out to rid society of gambling activities and other unlawful activities.
