LUNDU: The engine of a sedan car was badly damaged after the driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed his car onto the side of Sungai Limau bridge along Matang/Lundu Road yesterday.
When the accident occurred at 7am, the driver was almost completely crossing the bridge to the other side but lost control of the vehicle and hit as well crashing into the metal railing of the bridge.
As the car occupied the whole passible space of the bridge, it actually blocked any vehicle and thereby causing massive traffic jam.
Fire and Rescue Services Department (Bomba) as called to help and went to the scene to assist.
The car driver sustained minor injuries. His car was later lifted from the bridge.
