KUCHING: The distribution of raw fresh chicken to New Sarawak Tribune & Utusan Sarawak’s Welfare Club members (NST&US) was held at The Sarawak Press Sdn Bhd here, yesterday.
The distribution in conjunction with the Hari Raya festival is one of the club’s missions to create a cheerful atmosphere and strengthen good relationship among the company’s multi-recial workers.
NST&US Club President, Madinah Ahmad Hipeni expressed her appreciation to Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing for funding NST&US Club activities, enabling it to buy and distribute fresh chicken to 163 club members yesterday.
Madinah also thanked Central Coldstorage Kuching Sdn Bhd and Brand Synergy for the quality halal CCK fresh chicken.
NST&US Welfare Club is still trying its best with the available funds to meet its pledge to contribute to members such as in the event of death of parents, spouses or children; those suffering from chronic illness or affected by natural disasters; give birth; festive gifts and so on.
Categorised as a non profit club, it strives to safeguard the welfare of its members including the general managers, editorial and administrative staffs of the two newspapers since its inception in 2014.
