KUCHING: CanHOPE Kuching recently held its monthly Cancer Support Group activity, “Grooming Workshop – “Look Good, Feel Good” with joint event partner cum sponsor – Maison Monica Hair & Beauty Academy.

The activity was specifically for patients, survivors and caregivers.

The workshop  aimed to improve self esteem through knowledge and a practical approach to appearance-related side effects to make a difference in the patients and survivors’ physical changes so that they look good during and after cancer treatments.

CanHOPE Kuching is a non-profit cancer counselling and support service provided by Parkway Cancer Centre Singapore.  Its dedicated staff and CanFriends, who are working along with   Area Manager-Counsellor Connie Tan,  believe that cancer treatment may start with a diagnosis but it does not end there.

They stand shoulder to shoulder with its patients and their families in the fight against cancer by helping in many ways including emotional support, guidance or giving advice about cancer. CanHOPE can be reached at 082-343778.
