DALAT: KRIS or fondly known as GTK will be holding its ‘Malam Santai Seni’ on August 31 at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Dalat. According to GTK Founder Juni Jon Ajinoor, the event is held in conjunction with the forthcoming 61st Independence Day celebration.

To commence at 8am, among the activities line-up are exhibition and slide show of ‘Kembara Seni GTK 2002-2018,’ modern dance, traditional dance, ‘bergendang’, karaoke, chained poetry ceclamation as well as lucky draw.

Themed, ‘Teater Mampu Memanusiakan Manusia’, the event aimed to enliven the patriotism spirit through arts and culture among the local community, inculcate the cooperation spirit among the GTK members and as an avenue to apply theatre discipline on the stage.

Juni added the group would come up with a theatre performance titled ‘X-Gila’ directed by himself. Among the production members involved are Qalvier, Ervinna Maximillia, Mohd Azeriel Afifi, Deddy Neilman, Xavier, Shergio Zethyrious, Mohd Azleesyham, Vivienne, Nelly, Mohd Faiz, Misha, Novella Neon, Ishahiera, Umi Batrisya, Marina Adlyne and Freedy.

The tickets are now on sale with the price of RM3 for students and RM5 for members of public. The public also can contact Juni at 013-8450777 for seats booking. GTK is the state level KOMSAS Drama Competition champion and has participated in the national level competitions in Terengganu and Pahang. They also have been awarded with Platinum and Gold Awards at the Semarak Teater Kebangsaan in Perak and also invited to perform at various functions held in Dalat and Mukah since its establishment over fifteen years ago.
