Hamid: Meeting showcases best practices

KUCHING: The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Satellite Meeting welcomes international participation in the field of library in showcasing their best practices.

According to Sarawak Pustaka chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Hamid Bugo, the meeting was an opportunity for the industry practitioners to share their intellectual information with the presenters.

He said it would become a platform for industry players to highlight their best practices on the issues of indigenous community in their country.

“I am happy that this meeting provides a platform for channeling, sharing, and also detailing the challenges in addressing issues affecting the indigenous people not only in this region but also in other parts of the world,” he said at the IFLA Satellite Meeting 2018 Welcoming Dinner at Waterfront Hotel here, on Saturday.

The IFLA Satellite Meeting 2018 was held on at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak last weekend. Participants of the IFLA Satellite Meeting 2018 shared their research presentation from various groups and also their knowledge to address indigenous issues throughout the world.
