KUCHING: The Enforcement Unit of Land and Survey Department on Monday succeeded in busting illegal activities of transporting stones or rock materials in Miri Division, said a press release yesterday.

In the operation, a total of three heavy vehicles were confiscated as case exhibits for the illegal activities of transporting or removing stones and rock materials without permit. The success in busting the illegal activities was attributed to keen patrolling made.

This case is probed under Section 32A of State Land Code (Chapter 81). In connection to this, the public who intend to get involved in activities such as digging and removing of rock materials and stones are advised to refer to the nearest office of Land and Survey Department in order to prevent them from any unnecessary prosecution or enforcement action.
