KUCHING: Last Tuesday the Land Survey Department’s Enforcement Unit foiled an attempt to remove earth and gravel without permit in Miri Division. In the operation, two heavy duty vehicles used in the activity were compounded as court evidence.

The activity was foiled following a patrol conducted. The case is being investigated under Section 32A of the Land Code (Chapter 81).

Members of the public wanting to excavate or move earth, rocks or gravel are advised to refer the matter to the Land and Survey Department officer nearest to them to avoid action being taken against them.
