iM Sarawak, PJWelfare to refurbish Tabika Kemas in Petra Jaya

KUCHING: iM Sarawak and Petra Jaya Welfare Association (PJWelfare) will work together to refurbish Tabika Kemas in the Petra Jaya area under the iM Sarawak Special Assistance Programme.

The Chief Minister’s wife’s and Chairperson of PJWelfare, Datin Patinggi Dato Hajjah Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang graced the launching ceremony for the project yesterday.

The event was held at the compound of Tabika Kemas Muda Hashim at Lorong Bintangor 1, Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol here..

In her speech, Juma’ani said: “PJWelare is proud to be working together with iM Sarawak on this programme.

“The colourful new furniture for the kindergartens and PDK Sri Satok will be greatly appreciated by the parents and teachers. They will also create a fun and comfortable environment for the children.”

Director of Sarawak Kemas, Tuan Hj Mohd Zamri Bin Hj Mustajap, said, “We are privileged to partner with both these charitable organisations on this initiative.

“Kemas always welcomes efforts taken by the public and private organisations in supporting us wherever possible and we would like to extend our gratitude to both PJWelfare and iM Sarawak for making this possible.”

Meanwile, 1Malaysia Sarawak Advisory Council Member, Ir Hj Irwan Zulkarnain Hj Muhammad Hasbi said, “At iM Sarawak, we are committed to improving the  lives of Sarawakians.

“We are working with a local supplier to replace the furniture because we believe in Sarawakians helping Sarawakians. As part of their CSR initiative, they have even graciously agreed to absorb the furniture replacement cost for one of the Tabika Kemas.”
