KUCHING: An Indonesian worker was found dead on the first floor of a building at Jalan Lebur Upper China here at 11.40 am yesterday.

The deceased identified as Rizallulallah aged 36 from Subang Jawa Barat, Indonesia was found by a colleague
when he did not turn up for work.

Their employer then went to look for Rizallulallah but found him dead.

On Tuesday, their employer had taken Rizallulallah to a private hospital after he complained of being unwell.

He was given one day medical leave and was supposed to return to work yesterday.

After he was found dead, their employer lodged a police report. The Indonesian Consulate here has also been informed of the matter.

Rizallulallah’s remains were later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for further investigation.

Police have classified the case as a sudden death report.

Kuching police chief, ACP Ng Ah Lek confirmed the case.
