KUCHING: The signing ceremony of Isuzu Service Workshop Baleh between PKP Baleh Sdn Bhd and Rhino Motors Sdn Bhd marked a humble step towards the establishment of long-term community investment initiatives for communities in Nanga Entawau and Baleh for the much anticipated Baleh HEP in Kapit.
Bukit Goram Assemblyman and Persatuan Kebajikan Penduduk Baleh (PKPB) Chairman, Jefferson Jamit Unyat who also present at the event said the signing ceremony was the first signing event and a historic ceremony for people in Baleh.
“We hope that there will be more such programme and signing ceremony to look foward on what we should do for people in Baleh.
“This kind of engagement is to assist people in Baleh and doing CSR job is indeed a very noble thing and I am very sure people in Baleh will appreciate this effort,” he said at Rhino Motors Sdn Bhd in Jalan Tun Jugah here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Rhino Motors Sdn Bhd Director, Daniel Jubang Kanyan said being an authorised lsuzu 3S dealer and with their experience after-sales support team and support from lsuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd, they are confidence with the rapport and synergies that they are able to enhance the development and training of the youth from Kapit as a whole.
The appointment of PKP Baleh Sdn Bhd as their lsuzu authorised Service Workshop in Baleh, Kapit is to provide quality services, machineries and improve productivity for the clients.
The primary aim for this engagement is to develop and support local communities in terms of employment opportunities, skill training and overall professional workforce development.
PKP Baleh Sdn Bhd is wholly owned by PKPB as an entity to develop sustainable programmes to meet the needs and aspirations of the communities in Nanga Entawau and Baleh, Kapit.
Local participation and local content is a crucial criteria for a good project development as emphasized by Sarawak Energy Berhad.
For Baleh HEP, Sarawak Energy is developing skills training programmes and exploring other focus areas for community investment initiatives, in consultation with PKPB to come up with a well-structured programme best suited to the community.
Formed in 2012, PKPB is a registered consultative body with representation from Nanga Entawau and Baleh to look into and safeguard the welfare of the communities in Nanga Entawau and Baleh.
