KUCHING: Parents and guardians are advised to create an IT Corner for their children at home. Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity, Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi pointed out that besides their mobile gadgets, the corner would allow the children to have easier access to the Internet.
“In order to give birth to a more innovative and creative generation, children need to explore the contents of the Internet more,” he said when launching Pustaka Digital Library @ Sedidik at Dewan SK Santubong in Santubong yesterday.
Rahman explained that the Pustaka Digital Library @ Sedidik would give the preschoolers basic knowledge to navigate through the Internet, especially for educational purposes.
“This will definitely help them when they go for their primary, secondary and tertiary education as well,” said the Pantai Damai State Assemblyman. Besides the preschoolers, parents and educators can also make use of the corner to gain more knowledge or get teaching materials.
It is learnt that SeDididk will extend Pustaka Digital Library to two more centres, namely, Tadika SeDidik Mutiara Santubong, Kuching and Tadika SeDidik Mutiara Luak, Miri.
