Join Sibu Tower Run on March 11

SIBU: The second edition of Sibu Tower Run 2018 will be held on March 11 at 6.30am. The 5km run will include running two rounds around Sibu Town Square Phase 1 and II, Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum and the waterfront before going up the 28-storey 126m high Wisma Sanyan where the race will end.

The run is organised by Underground Runners Sibu (UGR) Club in collaboration with Sibu Municipal Council (SMC). The run will kick off from Sibu Town Square in front of Wisma Sanyan, Sarawak’s tallest building, at 6.30am. According to the chairman of the UGR, Zamri Kiprawi, the event is divided into men’s and women’s open and veteran sections.

“The run is limited to only 350 participants due to safety reasons,” he added. The entry fee for early birds who register before Jan 14 is RM70 each, RM80 each for those who register before Feb 4 and RM90 each for those who register from Feb 4 onwards.

The champi on wi l l receive RM800, first runner- up RM400, second runner-up RM300, third runner-up and fourth runner- up RM100 each.
