SAMARAHAN: The verification visits and submission of Unimas-CIDB Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Suba Buan, Bau and SK Buntal, Kuching which was conducted by  Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) in collaboration with Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia was completed on June 15.

The CIDB Malaysia delegates headed by Corporate Communications Division of CIDB general manager Noryani Ismail together with Industry Engagement and Transformation Community of Unimas director Dr. Wan Norizan Wan Hashim and Unimas Holdings Sdn. Bhd. General manager Ang Chee Hon have visited the project site to review as well as hand over the project to the headmasters of the affected school.

The CIDB Build Brigade Project was a CSR programme between CIDB Malaysia and Industry Engagement and Transformation Community of Unimas where two schools (SK Suba Buan, Bau and SK Buntal, Kuching) have been given the provision in upgrading the electrical wiring system to prevent the occurrence of short circuit and construction of a covered walkway.

The seven-month project was one of the key initiatives in providing facilities for students, teachers and parents.

Officers from CIDB Malaysia Nur Hanis Amsari and Abdul Ghani Darus, Project Leaders for the two schools Dr. Jecky Misieng and Ahmad Kamal Abdul Aziz, Village Head, District Education Officers as well as school teachers also took part in the visits.
