KUCHING: The Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA) yesterday paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office at the State Legislative Assembly Building here to introduce him to the journalists and photographers who will be participating in the Mount Kinabalu Kuching Media Expedition 2019.

A total of 15 media practitioners will be participating in the expedition in July next year, and for the next coming seven months they will be undergoing various trainings to improve their physical and mental fitness.

The expedition which is supported by the state government aims to create awareness among media practitioners on the health benefits of outdoor activities.

While there, KDJA will also be holding side programmes with the Sabah Media Practitioners Association, to build network as well as to foster camaraderie among them.

The delegation was led by chairperson Jacqueline Nur Atiqah Abdullah and the joint chairpersons of the Mount Kinabalu Kuching Media Expedition 2019, Jeeridyne Chan and Adib Othman.
