KABONG: The recent uncertain weather phenomenon has seen an overwhelming abundance of sea snails found stranded at Tanjung Kembang Beach in Kabong here since yesterday.

The incredible number of sea snails can be seen along the water-teeth and the situation becomes more interesting to see when sea water begins to recede.

The presence of the sea snails is due to the turbulent sea waves that have brought the sea snails to the beach. The phenomenon has invited people to come to quote how many sea snails they want. Some come just for fun and take a little home, and some take quite a lot for sale.

Such a happening is rare and it has happened around the 1970s and 1980s. For seafood lovers, they can be cooked in several ways and is said to be very delicious.

Meanwhile, the shell can be used as a handicraft material and can also be processed for lime to be eaten with betel leaf. The sea snails that flooded the shore here are believed to last a few days before they disappear with the receding waves.
