MUKAH: Kampung Rajang and Rh Mawar have captured the Mukah Division Prime Rural Award (Anugerah Desa Perdana-ADP) 2017.
The village from Belawai and longhouse from Tanjung Pedada won the best settlement titles for the traditional village and traditional longhouse categories, respectively.
First and second runners-up in the traditional category were Kpg Kuala Lama Mukah and Kampung Kuala Tengah Oya.
The second and third spots of the longhouse category were won by Rh Payong from Sungai Sebuloh Balingian and Rh Dawi of Nanga Kecil Daro respectively.
The top three winners of the respective categories walked away with RM5,000, RM4,000 and RM3,000 plus a certificate, each.
Mukah Division Resident Awang Johari Awang Mustapha gave away the prizes.
Also present at the function were Mukah divisional health officer Dr Haji Osman Haji Rafaie, Dalat district administrative officer SAO Ismail Kasah and SAO Mohd Haikal Sibot of Balingian Sub-District.
