KUCHING: LEA Sports Centre Sdn Bhd Kuching handed over their sponsorship items for the Kuching League LSC 2017 to the Kuching Division Football Association at their shop in Sarawak Plaza here, yesterday. The sponsored items included the YB Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman Challenge Trophy, medals, prize vouchers and other trophies, including one each for the best scorer and best player. The league is part of the State’s divisional football leagues involving all the divisional FA affiliates. KSK Satok and Yayasan Sarawak Sanjung Etika have both qualified for the Kuching league final to be held at the State Stadium on Dec 2, at 8pm.
Meanwhile, when met by reporters after the prize-handing over ceremony, Tupong Assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman who is also the President of Kuching FA, said the organisers had identified the new players for the team during the last selection session.
“We will finalise the team list end of this month. By the first week of December, we will have the complete Kuching FA players list that will compete in the FAM league,” he said. He also stressed that among the preferred programmes is to conduct training sessions before deciding any friendly match with nearby teams such as Samarahan FA and Sri Aman FA. “I would like to thank LSC for their support and sponsorship in making the tournament a success,” he added.
