KUCHING: Lea Sports Centre sponsored prizes for the 11th edition of the National Open Sri Santubong Petanque Tournament Double 2017.
The sponsorship presentation ceremony was held at Lea Sports Centre, Sarawak Plaza here, yesterday.
Managing Director of Lea Holdings Sdn Bhd, Raymond Sim Hee Pang handed over the sponsored prizes to chairman of Kuching Division Petanque Association, who is also organiser of the tournament, Zaidi Haji Mahdi.
“We are committed to support this tournament and by sponsoring the prizes we hope can boost the players’ spirit,” said Raymond during a press conference.
Also present were Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), Dr Ong Kong Swee, Managing Director of Sara Urusharta Sdn. Bhd, Alan Poh and Director of Sales Operation Lea Sports Centre Sdn. Bhd., Poh Siok Hoon.
Zaidi in his speech thanked LSC for their support in making the tournament a success.
He added that the tournament would be held this weekend at Santubong Petanque Complex with more than 100 participants vying for the champion’s trophy.
