KUCHING: A total of 27 performers from China, who were here for the 16th Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival 2017, were treated to lunch by Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Lee Kim Shin at Lau Ya Keng Foodcourt, Carpenter Street here  yesterday.

“The performers come from eight associations in China and today, I personally invited them for lunch to further strengthen the ties and promote Sarawak’s tourism to the people of China,” he told reporters yesterday.

“I hope that the new direct flights from Kuching to Shenzhen which will be launched  in December will able to attract   many tourists from China,” he said, adding the biggest challenge now was to get more direct flights from Kuching to Shenzhen.
