KUCHING: In a bold and exciting move, Limkokwing University announces its participation in London Fashion Week 2018, as the only Malaysian and Asian university to showcase.

The venue, Freemasons Hall, a stunning art décor masterpiece in London, will host some of the industry’s most influential players on the Feb 18 as a team of students and alumni originating from six countries – from Indonesia to Iran – showcase young talents of fashion and art.

Limkokwing students have long mined the global culture that they embrace and celebrate on campus. These young designers traced their entire collections through a creative journey carried out to countries as far as Botswana, Swaziland, and Kenya, to Cambodia, Iran, Indonesia and Maldives.

For some of the students, London Fashion Week will be their first chance to go above and beyond to show their own work alongside world-class names on the runway.

London Fashion Week has become a part of the curriculum for the university fashion design, sound design and event management students. Through the university’s in-house label, Limkokwing Fashion Club, students are given the opportunity to come up with ideas and create global innovations.
