MIRI: Police on early Friday morning arrested a local man suspected for his involvement in house breaking activity.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect might have linked to a case involving a suspect arrested in Piasau recently.
The suspect in his early 30’s was picked up by a team of Miri police around 8am in Pelita Commercial centre following on a public tip-off. Police also seized items believed to be stolen from the suspect and several suspected illegal substances, believed to be drugs.
Also seized was a car belonging to the suspect.
The suspect is currently being detained under police custody for questioning.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for house break-in.
