KUCHING: Maggi is back with a bang this Gawai Dayak with the launch of its ‘Peraduan Maggi Jom Masak & Menang’ contest from May 1 to June 30 to usher in the harvest festival celebration with Sarawakians.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Solidarity Dato’ Sri Michael Manyin Jawong launched the ‘Peraduan Maggi Jom Masak & Menang’ together with Nestlé Sarawak Branch Manager, Dave Bawa at CityONE Megamall here.

“Maggi has long been present during the annual Gawai festival, and it is no surprise that Maggi has opt to organise such contest for Sarawak as the brand has been a part of our kitchen for decades. I would like to congratulate Maggi for their continuous localization efforts by offering greater value to the consumer in Sarawak,” said Minister of Youth, Sports and Solidarity Dato’ Sri Michael Manyin Jawong during the launch.

Dave said, “Here at Maggi, we would like to express our gratitude to all individuals and families for making us part of their everyday special moments. We believe that happiness is homemade and we will continue to help families prepare meals that are wholesome yet balanced.”

This Gawai Dayak season, Maggi continues to provide all Sarawakians with the inspirations for cooking wholesomely.

“Whether it is to enhance the flavour of the ‘ayam pansoh’ with a little help from Maggi’s culinary solutions or a quick bite to eat with Maggi’s delicious instant noodles, our brand is here to lend a helping hand to unveil the pleasures of cooking by bringing family and friends closer together, much like the celebration of Gawai Dayak,” said Dave.

This year’s Grand Prize winner will walk away with the ultimate prize of an Isuzu D-MAX (3.0V Cross AT) while the first and second runners-up will win themselves RM5,000 and RM3,000 worth of Senheng vouchers respectively.

Furthermore, Maggi will also be giving away attractive electronic appliances and gadgets such as Sharp refrigerators, 120GB branded tablet, Samsung C9 Pro smartphones and 49-inch Toshiba SmartTV UHD as weekly prizes throughout the two-month long contest.

Everyone stands a chance to win and all it takes is just three simple steps – purchase any participating Maggi product, attach the proof of purchase with the contest form and submit into Maggi’s contest drop box provided at the stores near you. It is that simple.

Throughout the contest period, a series of roadshows featuring fun-filled activities will also be held where visitors are able to view the grand prize of the Isuzu D-MAX on display.

Maggi also announced its latest innovation, Maggi Hot Mealz, which was launched in April. It features two new flavours – ‘Maggi Hot Mealz Kari Laksa Ayam’ and ‘Maggi Hot Mealz Kari Kari Kaw’. Both Maggi Hot Mealz are packed with flavour and rich, hearty goodness that will leave you wanting more.

Sarawakians will also be able to enjoy the latest variant to Maggi noodles – the ‘Maggi Roasted Chicken Sesame’, in May.

It captures the essence of long boiled chicken soup with the aromatic fragrance of sesame oil, thicker, springier noodles, a special blend of five spices, making it a delicious meal for the family.
