MIRI: A 27-year-old man was arrested after he assaulted another man during an arguement at Taman Permai here on Monday night.
The incident was said to have occurred around 7pm inside a house in the area.
However, the actual cause of the incident is still not known.
A Mobile Police Vehicle (MPV) was immediately dispatched to the location after a distress call was received on the incident.
During the arrest, police also seized two wooden sticks from the suspect which are believed to have been used in the incident.
The suspect is being detained at Miri Central Police Station (CPS) for questioning.
The offence is framed under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or means.
