SERIAN: A local man was arrested by police for allegedly possessing two air guns during a raid on a house in Kampung Kakai here yesterday.
Acting on information received, a police team from Serian District Police headquarters carried out the raid at around 3.00pm and detained the 36-year-old man.
The police also seized two air guns which were kept in the store room.
District Police chief, DSP Aswandy Anis confirmed the arrest and said the suspect was detained to facilitate investigation under Section 36 of the Firearms Act, 1960.
