The two major infrastructural development are firstly, to complete the construction of the coastal highway which will include the construction of eight major bridges thus allowing for seamless drive from Samatan to Miri.

Secondly, is the construction of the Second Trunk Road which will be divided into two packages.

“Package A, is from Roban-Sebuyau-Kota Samarahan with the length of 118 Km. Package B, from Betong-Sri Aman-Lingga, Sebuyau-Kota Samarahan with the length of 148 Km,

“Both packages, with the total length of 266 Km will converge at Kota Samarahan. The construction of these two trunk roads will reduce travelling time from Sibu to Kuching by two and half hours which will automatically save both fuel and travelling time, and will be very beneficial both to our future business communities and other road users,” he disclosed.
