MIRI: A man cheated death when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry at Jalan Bakam here, yesterday.
In the incident that happened around 12.30pm, the victim in his 30’s sustained head and bodily injuries.
It was understood that the victim collided with the lorry while travelling in the same direction, heading to Bakam from Luak Bay, when the heavy vehicle suddenly turned into a junction.
An ambulance was called to the scene and the victim was then sent to Miri Hospital for treatment. The lorry driver escaped unhurt.
A team of traffic policemen was dispatched to the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
