SRI AMAN: A motorcycle died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at KM 28, Jalan Kuching-Sarikei at 7.30pm last Monday.
Sri Aman District Police chief, DSP Haji Othman Sulaiman said the deceased has been identified Christopher Anak Rami, 44, from Rumah Jame, Sungai Pinggai Undop here.
“A car was on its way from here to Engkilili. At KM 28 the car is believed to have veered into the opposite lane before it collided with the motorcycle,” said Othman.
He added that paramedics who came in an ambulance confirmed that the motorcyclist died on the spot.
The driver of the Proton Wira car sustained injuries on his head.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987,” said Othman.
He also said that there was no witness to the fatal accident.
