SERIAN: A 31-year-old man was killed in a road accident involving a motorcycle and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle at Km57 Kuching-Serian Road here early yesterday.
In the incident that occurred at around 1.25am, the victim, known only as Irwandi, from Taman Pasir Serian, was travelling along the road when his machine veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the 4WD.
An ambulance was called to the scene and paramedics pronounced Irwandi dead at the scene.
His remains were taken to Serian Hospital for further action. Police were investigating the case under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
