KUCHING: A 20-year-old female motorcyclist died after she was involved in an accident while the  pillion rider sustained only minor injuries.

Felicia Freda anak George of Kampung Braang Bayur, KM10, Jalan Padawan had gone out with her friends and was returning home at about 2.30am on Sunday when she lost control of the motorcycle she was riding at Simpang Kampung Semban, Padawan before it plunged into a 7-foot deep monsoon drain.

She sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot while the pillion rider aged 22 from Kampung Punau, a factory worker, sustained only minor injuries.

Felicia’s remains were later taken to Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for a post mortem.

Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case.
