JOHOR BAHRU: Pakatan Harapan Johor chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had an audience yesterday with the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, and it is learnt that he presented the Ruler with the names of the potential candidates for the posts of Menteri Besar and State Executive Councillors of the new state government.

Muhyiddin, who is also PPBM president, arrived at Istana Pasir Pelangi at 11.48 am, and was seen leaving the palace about an hour later.

He was scheduled to attend Friday prayers at Masjid Jamek Pasir Pelangi following the audience.

It is learnt that the three names he presented to the Sultan as the potential candidates for Menteri Besar are Salahuddin Ayub (Amanah deputy president), Aminolhuda Hassan (Amanah Johor chairman) and Datuk Osman Sapian (PPBM Johor secretary).

Pakatan Harapan received the mandate to form the Johor state government when it won 36 seats in the Johor Legislative Assembly in the general election on May 9. Barisan Nasional won 19 and PAS won one. - BERNAMA
