Mukah Parish Fiesta 2017 launched

MUKAH: The Mukah Parish Fiesta 2017 was officially launched at Sts Peter and Paul Church, here, after the Sunday mass on June 18.

It was jointly officiated by Tellian State Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo and church rector Rev. Fr Joseph Sebastian in the presence of church goers.

The symbolic gesture at the simple opening was the unveiling of the programme’s banners which were placed at the two entrance pillars of the church by Yussibnosh and Joseph.

Among the activities of the one-week event were the children’s Mass, holy picture colouring contest for the pre-school and primary school pupils, youth and veteran, story telling competition, Holy Bible quiz (children/adult), futsal competition (men and women categories), lunch with the children, Parent’s Day blessing and cake cutting, aerobic exercises, Inter-chapels telematch, Easter egg decoration competition, special feast, and pot-luck BBQ family casual cight plus Ngiling Bidai.

The auspicious occasion held in conjunction with 112th Anniversary of Sts Peter and Paul Parish would conclude with aThanksgiving Mass at 7.30pm in the Sts Peter and Paul Church Day on 29 June.
