KUCHING: A man who wanted to jump from the second floor of a budget hotel was coaxed by police and firemen who rushed to the scene. The man from Kampung Tupong Ulu was seen standing at the edge of the shop at about 10.30 am yesterday.
At one point, he appeared wanting to jump. Police and firemen went to the room and managed to talk him to return to the room about an hour later. It was not known what his motive for wanting to attempt suicide was. The victim was sent to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for treatment.
