KUCHING: Sarawak’s head coach, David Usop is now relieved when young striker, Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin has fully recovered from his left foot ankle injury.

David said his return is giving a new tonic for the team who will play against Selangor at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya, here, today.

“He (Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin) has recovered from his injuries and will play in Tuesday’s match against Selangor,” David said recently.

Nevertheless, David is unsure whether to enlist him in the first eleven.

“I have to look into the need to use his energy. He is now in the process of restoring his fitness level and therefore most likely will serve as a substitute,” added David.

In another development, David said the outcome of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) decision to cut out six points from two teams (Kelantan and T-Team) is a wide open opportunity for Sarawak to change position.

“I hope the players know what to do, especially in efforts to change the existing position with the result released by FAM a few days ago.

“Thus, a victory over Selangor on Tuesday (May 9) will be able to realise the hope of moving way up in the standings,” said David, who was confident his side can win the home match.

Sarawak are now 11th in the Super League standings with nine points from two wins, three draws from 11 matches.
