KUCHING: More than 100 people attended a Hari Raya gathering organised by state Amanah at its headquarters in Matang here on Thursday night.

Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries, Salahuddin Ayub was present as the guest of honour that night and gave his assurance that the new government under Pakatan Harapan (PH) will fight for Malaysians regardless of race, religion and political affiliations.

“I am happy to see a political phenomenon that has allowed us to grow and I believe that with the new PH government we can move forward to usher in a political scenario that will make us one.

“Despite our differences, we can still progress as one and it doesn’t depend where you are from, what race or religion you are, and what your political ideologies are as we are first and foremost Malaysians.

“I will stand and fight for the betterment of our next generation and that is something that I have always dreamed of,” he said.
