KUCHING: More than 500 guests attended Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) Aidilfitri gathering at the compound of STIDC building at Petra Jaya near here, yesterday.
The ceremony was officiated at by Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development and Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources.
Ten food stalls were set up which offered various types of food such as Laksa Sarawak, Cendol, Ice Cream, Rojak and others.
The gathering was also enliven with singing and dancing by students of SMK Tun Abang Haji Openg.
Also present were Awang Tengah’s wife Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud, State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker, Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar, STIDC General Manager, Datu Sarudu Hoklai, Assistant Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datu Len Talif Salleh, and Mayor of Kuching City South Council (MBKS), Dato James Chan Khay Syn.
