KUCHING: There was an overwhelming turnout at the Free Treatment, Free Medication and Free Consultation organised by the Kuching Teck Choon Anti-Cancer Association at Kuching Sentral, yesterday.
The charity event, which was attended by former Head of State, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin, started from 9.00am till 4.00pm.
The co-organising units and event co-organiser were the Federation of Chinese Medicine and Physicians Sarawak, Federation of Sarawak Traditional Physicians and Complimentary Medicine, and Miri Traditional Chinese Physicians.
The organising chairperson of the event, Prof Dato’ Sri Tan Kit Weng, sponsored RM40,000 worth of medication.
Treatment provided included internal and external surgeries, acupuncture and specialist gynecology and orthopedics services.
The physicians also provided free scraping, massaging, pulse, bone, medical and other services.
