Padungan Night Market to commence next Jan 2

KUCHING: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has designated the car park next to Ambank Padungan Road for setting up of a Padungan Night Market. The night market will include sale of souvenirs, plants, handicraft, fashion accessories, festive goods and other dry items.

The stalls will n ot be allowed to sell any kinds of food and drinks. However, there is space for a food truck business and a fruit stall.

The night market, which will commence on Jan 2 next year, will be opened every Friday and Saturday night, from 6pm to 10pm. Application forms for the stalls are now obtainable from the MBKS One Stop Service Counter D, which is on the lobby, from Dec 4 (Monday) to Dec 15 (Friday).

All application forms must be submitted to the MBKS One Stop Service Counter D on or before 4pm on Dec 15. Late applications will not be entertained. Briefing and balloting of stall space will be held on Dec 20 (Wednesday) at the MBKS Office, at 10am. The fee for each stall space, which is equivalent to one parking space, is RM240 for three months.
