OYA: The permanent building of Pasar Tani Pekan Sabtu Oya is scheduled to be completed by June.
Work on the RM2 million project for the marketing of agricultural and fishery products is progressing smoothly.
Acting Chairman of Pasar Sabtu Oya, Councillor Arini Suhaili revealed that the walls of the toilets for the public had already been tiled.
She added that the funnel cookers at the food and beverage outlets had already been installed and ready to be used.
Arini, also as a member of the Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM), pointed out that while work on the building was being carried out, traders could still sell their products at the camp site of Pasar Sabtu Oya (PSO) and near the old ferry.
She pointed out that the PSO was popular with many visitors who liked to buy agricultural produce and catches by fishermen in the Oya areas.
