We will prove to Sarawakians GPS doesn’t lie: Abdullah Saidol

KUCHING: Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office Abdullah Saidol (pic) has branded two state Pakatan Rakyat leaders as “agent provocateur”.

He said the nomenclature perfectly described state PH leader Chong Chieng Jen and state PKR information chief Vernon Kedit because they never meant what they said. He said what the two opposition leaders did or said were merely to try to convince their listeners to believe in their promises that they knew they never meant to deliver.

“Take for instance, Chong and Vernon tried very hard to make Sarawakians believe that Sarawak will continue to be neglected if it is not part of PH federal government; whereas, the truth is we know the difficulty of being under the control of a Malaya-based coalition because we have just exited BN (Barisan Nasional),” Abdullah said in a statement yesterday.

He said Sarawak BN’s unique position then was that it was ruling a state where Umno, the dominant BN member party, had no presence.

“Our leaders were drawn from PBB (Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu), PRS (Parti Rakyat Sarawak), SUPP (Sarawak United People’s Party) and PDP (Progressive Democratic Party). “Umno was not part of the state government of Sarawak, and the state BN then had successfully thwarted attempts by Umno to enter Sarawak.

“But Chong and Vernon, both Sarawakians, are members of Malaya-based parties and their objective is nothing else but work with non-Sarawakians to conquer Sarawak.

“Therefore, the perfect word to describe them is they are ‘agent provocateur’,” Abdullah said. “We in Sarawak exited BN and all this while we were able to keep Umno out.
