KUCHING: The Pemakai Menoa and Pul au Gal au (PMPG) Committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas will meet next week to decide on issues related to Pemakai Menoa and Pulau Galau.
“Yes, we had a discussion last week and we are studying the matters. We will have a meeting soon (next week) on the issues,” he told the media when met after he represented the Chief Minister at the official opening of International Biomass Conference Malaysia 2017 (IBCM 2017) at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here yesterday.
“We had the first initial meeting a few days ago for them (the committee) to present to me the case,” Uggah said. He said in the committee meeting to be held next week, all the issues will be considered. “We want to consider the whole issues.
Let all these issues be addressed by our committee holistically,” he said. Asked i f the issues to be di s cus sed and decided on would also include the proposed amendment to the definition of Pemakai Menoa and Pulau Galau, he said, “Wait, we will annouce later.
But we will look into all these issues as these are issues that have to be addressed.” On the calls for the Dayaks to hold rally, Uggah, who is also Minister for Modenisation of Agr iculture, Native Land and Regional Development, said,”Anybody can say anything they want.”
