KUCHING: An assistant secretary of Sarawak United People’s party (SUPP) Pending branch, Milton Foo lodged a police report at the Simpang Tiga police station here yesterday against Pending Assemblywoman, Violet Yong for alleging the Indonesian children studying in Sarawak are illegal immigrants. When making the report at the One Stop Centre, Foo said the allegation carries no weight unless Yong comes out with the evidence.

He also asked how Yong knew that the children do not have permit to stay and study in Sarawak unless she has the evidence and should not make the allegation. Foo added that in Yong’s facebook posting, she alleged that there were many illegal immigrants studying in Sarawak after the Prime Minister approved Indonesia to build 50 schools for Indonesian children in the state.

Foo said according t o the posting, Yong has asked, “Where is Sarawak’s autonomy?

Today SUPP is defending Indonesian’s rights, supporting Najib to sell off Sarawak’s rights through this! Is there any use of SUPP? Don’t you have eyes to see?” The facebook posting, said Foo was scandalous, seditious and incite hatred not only against SUPP but also the Sarawak government.

He added that Yong also implied that the Prime Minister is approving schools for illegal immigrants and such remark is bigotry.

In another facebook posting Yong also alleged that SUPP is the party that sells Sarawak’s autonomy. Foo said if the comments came from an ordinary person, he would have kept quiet but since they came from a state assemblywoman, he deemed it necessary for him to lodge a police report as it could ruin diplomatic ties between Sarawak and Indonesia.

He said he would report the matter to the director of Immigration Department after making the police report as he wanted the department to investigate the matter and asked Yong to furnish the department with evidence.
