SIBU: A total of 16 orphans and 17 “asnaf” (needy people) received Hari Raya contributions from the Sarawak Federation of Women Institute (PPWS) Sibu here last Sunday.
The presentation of the contributions took place at PPWS
Sibu Building at Jalan Awang Ramli Amit.
Speaking at the programme, Sibu Municipal Councillor, Zaiton Abdul Kader thanked PPWS Sibu for contributing to the less fortunate people every year.
“Such efforts bring cheer to all the recipients, particularly the orphans and needy people.
Chairperson of PPWS Sibu, Maimunah Yusuf and Chairperson of PPWS Hilir/Baru 1, Aisyah Awang Jemain were among those present at the programme.
