Protocol officers bring cheer to sick children

KUCHING: 40 children at the paediatric ward of the Sarawak General Hospital here had a pleasant surprise on Monday when a delegation of officers from the State Protocol and Public Relations Unit of the Chief Minister’s Department visited them and  presented them with hampers.

Leading the delegation was the Unit’s Director, Dato Khir Busrah who said the event was part of the unit’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) to spread the spirit of caring  during    Ramadan.

Accompanying him were his Principal Assistant Directors, Samuel Simon and Caroline Chen and other officers and staff.

They were welcomed on arrival by the hospital’s Assistant Director, Dr Alex Kim, Matron Datin Gloria Gembong and the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mary Belare.
